This series Plastic Ocean by Austrian firm Staudinger+Franke gives an ominous look at the issue of ocean plastic, and the way we’ve endangered our natural resources with waste.

The floating models look at the camera with a combination of resignation and alarm, as flotsam and jetsam plastic surround them.

With an obvious message, the series remains a wakeup call for us, and the way we carelessly discard plastic that harms our environment. All of the plastic waste used in the photography was collected from beaches in Italy, showing how real this issue truly is.

“All the plastic for this project was collected by hand at beaches along Italy’s coastline.

Let’s preserve the beauty of Planet Earth for our common good and try to make our life plasticfree!!”
