The King Bill home in Melbourne, Australia puts a modern and whimsical spin on an 1850’s brick terrace home. Using lightweight and curving materials, the designers have managed to create a one-of-a-kind layout that brings in natural light, and adds a sense of whimsy and even humor to the architecture.
From a suspended hammock-flooring above the study, to a winding glass walkway that connects the structures, the home feels flowing and effortless, while maintaining a sense of personality and modernity. The birch and pear trees add a great note of green, and the ample use of glass makes the home seem especially airy and open. Via Uncrate:
