Saudi Arabia has been on a tear with their mega-development NEOM, which comprises huge resorts, skyscrapers, and even from-the-ground-up cities.

The latest announcement is an ultra-exclusive members’ club called Xaynor, located on the Gulf of Aqaba.

Aside from sounding like an evil villain’s lair, the design looks like an upscale caveman’s cave, replete with infinity pools, angular seating, and enormous rock features jutting overhead.

Billed as “the epitome of secluded luxury”, we can’t help but imagine well-heeled members strolling around in designer animal skins and clubs, marveling at their own cleverness.  Will they stare in awe at the firepits, wondering how the flames were formed? 🔥

If we sound somewhat skeptical or mocking, perhaps it’s because Neom’s developments keep getting more and more elaborate, expensive, and “exclusive”, and the entire thing is starting to feel stale.  We’re unsure if the world needs more playgrounds for the ultra-wealthy, especially when they look like set pieces from The Flintstones.

“Emerging from the rocky landscapes along the Gulf of Aqaba coastline, Xaynor will be a beachfront private members club combining premium luxury with an atmosphere set for relaxation and leisure.”
