LEGO has a large and robust community of builders and contributors. This includes their LEGO Ideas community, which designs and suggests new ideas that LEGO may or may not pick up and produce.

One recent one is the Sequoia Tree Trail, which includes two large trees, visitors center, entrance sign, and a range of miniatures.

Created by Piece on Earth, the set pays homage to these huge, amazing trees, in a way we haven’t seen much from LEGO before.

With over 10,000 supporters, it’s promising that LEGO might turn this into an official set for the rest of us.

“Over a million people travel every year to visit the largest trees in the world: the Giant Sequoias! These massive trees can grow up to 350 feet tall, have up to 40-foot-wide trunks, and live for more than 3,000 years…a true wonder to behold.

The giant sequoia ecosystem is home to many fascinating plants and animals, such as the Steller’s Jay and the Banana Slug. Can you find them all as you explore the Sequoia Tree Trail? Embark on a journey through history as you build these living giants!”
