On January 20-21, there was a dramatic eclipse of the moon, this one known as a Super Blood Wolf Moon. That name alone should inspire you to gaze up at the sky. Unfortunately for most of us, we don’t have the equipment or skill to take impressive photos of lunar events. Luckily photographers like Jason Weingart do, and he’s shared this amazing composite showing all the phases of the event.

Taken every thirty minutes for the duration of the eclipse, we see all of the phases, and the impressive ‘blood moon’ color. Weingart has shared details that he did take liberty with the sizing of the moon, enlarging it by 75% for fuller detail. Nevertheless, we think it’s a stunning capture. Via Petapixel:
