BAMO is a world renowned interior design firm in San Francisco, and was hired to create a dramatic entryway to a new office tower in Seattle. The designer at work is actually my wife, Dina, and her final product is stunning, a sculptural, geometric wall made from reclaimed white oak. The wall spans out like a canopy of a tree, lending a spacious, inviting feel to visitors. Visiting the project in person was exciting, to see the scale and craftsmanship of the lobby.

The lobby’s reflecting pool features natural cleft basalt columns, creating a great contrast from the wooden walls. The custom blue glass cube creates a beautiful and iconic entrance to the building. In an era of fast-paced buildouts, it’s great to see such care put into a building’s aesthetics, and will certainly be a welcome addition to Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood.
