Overlooking the foggy Shenxianju Valley, the Ruyi Bridge in China has a fascinating, futuristic design that looks unlike anything else.

Built between 2017 and 2020, the bridge features curved walkways that arch and bend like a traditional Chinese Ruyi, a decorative object.

Designed by He Yunchang, the bridge also features a glass walkway that gives visitors a chance to take on their fear of heights, and look directly down on the valley below.

The bridge’s unusual design and location so high up even caused rumors that the entire thing was a hoax, or digitally rendered. Indeed, it is very real.
