It’s time to plan your next epic snowball fight in Nyda, Siberia.

In a strange and rare natural occurrence, hundreds of thousands of giant snowballs have formed on an eleven mile stretch of coast. The snowballs seem too perfect to be real.

Described below, via Gizmodo:

When the water in the gulf rose, it came into contact with the frost. The beach began to be covered with ice. Then the water began to slowly retreat, and the ice remained. Its pieces were rolling over in the wet sand, and turned into these balls.

This phenomena is rare, though it’s been seen on Lake Michigan as well back in 2014.
