Talk about a late fine for the ages!
This ancient looking picture book, The Postman, was checked out of the Silver Spring Library in Maryland in 1946……..
The woman that returned it is now elderly, though it was originally checked out for her when she was a toddler. She explains that the family moved shortly after the book was checked out, leaving it packed up and forgotten about for years.
The library was thrilled to receive a package recently with the book and a note enclosed.
