Alfonso Cuarón has slowly but surely become a tour de force director over the last several years, putting out smart, dramatic, intense and well-acted films. Children of Men remains one of my very favorite films, and when I heard he was directing a space thriller, I was excited and hopeful. Well, the film debuts tonight, and the reviews are in. Gravity’s reviews are off the charts. I can’t wait to see it. I’ll post an update after my first screening.

Hi Ben,
Here I am at work, checking my email, which includes my Moss & Fogs for a couple of days. I forwarded to Fred the baseball logos. I was excited to see you loved Children of Men, for I think that was a wonderful movie. You might not realize how often your blog often provides a moment of real interest. Thanks for doing it! I’m sure it takes more time than you have some days, so when you quit, I will understand, but for now, know that I appreciate it.
