Positioned near a hiking trail in the forests outside of Rouen, France, this oversized wooden acorn sits peacefully.
It beckons visitors to explore the elegant wooden construction, which uses interlocking plywood to create a warm appearance.
Stepping inside the small doorway reveals an impressive space, where light filters through the acorn’s shingled cap. A hollow ‘stem’ allows visitors a skylight, which brightens the space inside.
Created by LFZ Studio, the acorn is meant to be a simple meditative retreat, open to anyone seeking a unique moment of solace.

When viewed from the interior, the roof tiles evoke the luminosity of rose windows commonly seen in the Gothic architectures of Northern France, gently diffusing natural light to cultivate a serene atmosphere.
