A giant red building sprouts from the side of a busy highway in Guatemala City, with cars literally stuck to the sides of the walls. Step inside, and you’re transported to a fascinating and bizarre interior, with 45 foot ceilings, giant plants, and vintage cars placed strategically inside the cafe’s space.  Rainwater collection on the ceiling collects water for the plants, and fun, vibrant painted structures lend a very happy, inviting feel. Designed by Taller KEN, The Madero Cafe brings a lot of visual wow to a city that’s starting to modernize in new and interesting ways. Via DesignBoom:
