Coney Island is nostalgic, time-capsule Americana, a throwback to a much simpler era, where carnival rides and beach culture was all the rage.

Photographers Mijoo Kim & Minjin Kang have a series called “Coney Island : Paradise at the end of New York”, that shows some of the timeless storefronts and attractions at the beachside community. The images, however, have been stripped of extra detail and ornamentation, with unnaturally blue-green skies that push the series into the realm of surrealism.
