The effortless float of a Great White Shark is not lost on artist Chris Austin, who has them as the focus of his latest series. But instead of under the ocean surface, Austin has the sharks floating through above-ground locations, elegantly exploring forests, city streets, and even above swimming pools. The midair floating adds a surreal element, and  the Oregon scenery gives his paintings a wholly unique look and feel. Via MyModernMet:
