2025 is the Year of the Snake on the Chinese calendar. Artists and illustrator Mary Maka takes this character and expands on it, in a charming series that showcases a range of faces and snake manifestations.

Her novel use of colors, shading and faces make her work enchanting, and there’s a real sense of humor in the illustrations as well.
