Everyone has their own story of love lost, and heartache. Naturally, flowers don’t shatter when dropped, which makes this Broken Heart series by Paloma Rincón all the more mesmerizing.  Using roses dipped in liquid nitrogen, she captures the drama and symbolism of the flowers splintering into miniature shards against rich textured backdrops. Taken with a high-speed Phase One camera, the action is frozen in time, both literally and figuratively. Via Behance:
