One Ring to Rule Them All? The Seoul Ring is a Massive, Spokeless Ferris Wheel

Set to open in 2025, the enormous new Seoul Ring ferris wheel is set to make its mark on Seoul, in Haneul Park.

The unique spoke-less design means the wheel is a perfect ring, devoid of the supportive beams that we’re used to seeing. It will be the world’s largest Ferris wheel when completed, with impressive views of the Hangang River, downtown Seoul, Namsan Mountain, and Bukhansan Mountain.

The city consulted with domestic and international experts in architecture and engineering to secure construction safety and structural integrity of the spokeless design of Seoul Ring.”
