Glass blowing is a centuries-old craft, and having taken a class ourselves, we know how challenging and demanding an art form it is.

Artist Kiva Ford not only makes beautiful, exquisitely made vessels, but does so in micro-scale. The Indiana-based artist has a technical background, but has pushed the limits of artistry on such a small scale, employing the same demanding techniques that large-scale pieces do.

See more of Ford’s work, many available for purchase, on Etsy.

“Kiva Ford’s passion with glass began early in life, and was anchored with his college degree in Scientific Glassblowing. Through years of work creating complex glass instruments for scientist’s use, he has perfected his precision and technique in manipulating glass.

Beyond the scientific community, Kiva is more commonly known for his exquisite glass goblets, bottles, pendants and vessels.

Kiva’s artistic work is influenced by his interests in history, mythology, and the natural world. His creations span from delicate pendants and tiny vases to large, elaborate bottles encasing glass animals, figures, and even smaller versions of themselves!”
